  2. The mini-quilt’s perimeter must not exceed 96 inches.
  3. The mini-quilt must contain the five colours of the Olympic rings (blue, yellow, black green and red) but they should not be displayed as rings.
  4. The mini-quilt may include embellishments of any kind, including, but not limited to:
  5. buttons, trinkets, charms, hand or machine embroidery, ribbon, appliqué or other attachments.   The mini-quilt must not weigh more than five pounds!
  6. The entry must be quilted.
  7. Each entry must be the sole work of one (1) person (including quilting stitches).
  8. Your entry must have been started and completed since September 2008 and may not have been shown at any other shows.
  9. Only one entry per person.
  10. The quilt must have a four inch hanging sleeve. It must be sewn onto the back of the quilt to allow the quilt to be easily hung.
  11. No pre-quilted fabric; no pre-printed whole-cloth quilt tops; no kit quilts may be used.
  12. Just like the “loonie” buried at center ice during the Salt Lake City games, your mini-quilt must have a Canadian flag hidden or visible somewhere in it. This rule really means “hidden in plain sight”.
  13. The mini-quilt must have a sewn-on fabric label on either bottom corner and include the name of the designer.
